M. Uzcátegui & Asociados was founded in 1955 by Mariano Uzcátegui Urdaneta and Rafael Pizani, attorneys at law, under the name Escritorio Pizani. It was established in 1980 as a family firm under its current name, but it continued to provide legal advice to clients on matters concerning Intellectual and Industrial Property Law (Trademarks and Patents) and Copyrights.

Uzcátegui & Asociados, gathers more than 60 years of experience, relying on a structure of associates internationally, allowing us to provide advice on Copyrights and Industrial Property to domestic and foreign clients. We are capable of advising our clients comprehensively on the registration of trademarks, inventions, drawings and industrial designs, as well as in the protection of artistic, literary or scientific work in Venezuela and any other country where such intellectual property rights may require protection.

New members have currently joined our team of professionals and new systems and technologies have been developed in order to continue providing high quality services to our list of clients in the light of the reality of the world at the different areas where we render our professional assistance and advice.

Uzcátegui & Asociados is present at many events organized yearly by the main Industrial Property associations domestically and internationally, such as: The International Trademark Association (INTA), The Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI, for its Spanish acronym) and The Venezuelan Association of Industrial Property Agents (COVAPI, also for its Spanish acronym), which ultimately reunites prestigious professionals and experts on Industrial Property as well as the representatives of most notorious companies.
